“Hi Janet! Meet (our baby boy) ❤️ He arrived only 5 hrs after my first contraction. I did have a sweep but otherwise all natural, made it through with just gas and air. I did ask for drugs at some point and freaked out a bit at 8cm but midwives were amazing at talking me down from that and keeping reminding me to stay calm. I was in the pool for a while but ended up wanting to get out – it was so hot!
Delivered on my knees leaning on the bed, yay for gravity 😃 Pushing stage was really fast and only minor tears. We stayed in the delivery room after that and we’re home 6.5 hours later.
And guess what?! He IS a big baby but my body still did it and I feel great!!! 4.61 kg
