Hypnosis is an induced state of relaxation in which a person is in a naturally altered state of consciousness. We all go in and out of hypnosis on a daily basis. If you think of a time where you were daydreaming, maybe whilst driving or staring out of a window, or whilst being engrossed in a good book, well, hypnosis is just that. Before we wake up in a morning and before we go to sleep at night, we go into hypnosis.
It is what happens when the body is in hypnosis that is beneficial. All hypnosis is “self hypnosis” so no one can ever make you do anything that you don’t want to do. It is nothing to be afraid of and YOU are always in control and will never do anything against your own free will. It will always be for your benefit. It is a safe therapy which aims to work with you on your goals, hopes and intentions, using the mind. It is focussed attention. As well as for health benefits, many sports people use hypnosis as do many corporate businesses, to reprogram the mind to think positively and differently. A positive mindset changes your whole physiology! This mindset has an effect on the physical aspects of the body. I promise that I will not swing a pendulum in front of you!

My Hypnobirthing Course teaches you deep relaxation and aims to reduce fears and anxiety about giving birth, preparing you with tools and techniques and working with you towards a positive experience. Hypnobirthing may be beneficial, however and wherever you give birth!
