“R” and “K”, 2nd baby born in hospital

Jun 4, 2016

Permission to share : My client had prepared for a home birth and at 37 weeks developed a medical condition, where it was suggested to her that she would benefit from an induced labour.

Looking at INTUITION, how did she feel, what was her gut feeling about it all ? She had always felt that this baby was going to come before 40 weeks, just a feeling she had…so if she was right, then the induction may not take a while, to get her into labour…

After weighing up the risk, benefits, pros and cons of inducing the labour at 37 weeks, they made an informed decision to go ahead.

So off they went to hospital, with her husband , Hypnobirthing tools ready, music, scripts, feeling confident and chilled out. Got a lovely midwife very supportive of Hypnobirthing….

One hormone pessary….nothing happened for hours…..calm and chilled out….

Second pessary ……nothing happening…..calm and chilled out….

Few hours later…..water broke….and strong surges…..3cm…

2 hours later …kneeling up over the back of the bed, she says she went into “the zone” and she breathed out her beautiful baby, in darkness and KG /River Dawn playing….(the hypnobirthing music from the hypnobirthing course) …😀….

So 2 hours from start to finish…..no synthetic oxytocin needed, no “pain” relief, no stitches 💖

This mother was right, her baby was ready to be born and she knew it ….💞. So I just wanted to share a story where circumstances changed but the mother Hypnobirthed all the way, especially when things changed from her preferences.
Congratulations to them 🎊🎉 xx
