“Hi Janet, just wanted to let you know we welcomed (our baby girl) last night and she is perfect! ❤️ she arrived after only 4 hours and 45 minutes of active labour.
It was a peaceful, uncomplicated birth – I arrived at the hospital at 4cm after calm surges at home and got to 9cm in two hours. I used some paracetamol, a bit of gas and air, and the pool for the second stage and she arrived so alert with her eyes wide open.
The midwives all said how calm Rob and I were. She’s 8 pounds 2 and has a full head of dark hair! I’ll do a proper write up of the birth after Christmas but for now we’re so excited to spend our first Christmas with our little girl.
