Kim and Eddie, first baby born in hospital

Feb 3, 2020

Our labour started naturally, and then 18 beautiful hours later having spent most of the time in the birth pool, doing my hypnobirthing, they saw that baby wasn’t in the ideal position and nothing I could do on my own would bring him out safely, so a fast decision had to be made and we were sent to theatre.

I was so in the zone!! And still super proud I got to 10cm in the pool using ur techniques, the last hour was just a must and I know there wasn’t anything I could do- but being on your course enabled me to still enter theatre positively and feeling somewhat in control of my decisions and body!

I was given the chance of three pushes and if little one didn’t appear by the third push with the aid of forceps it would be emergency c-section!!

I gave it every thing I had, and with the third push, with my number one fan by my side cheering me on, we welcomed our baby into the world

However I got the labour I had hoped for and reached fully dilated in the birth pool/environment I had imagined – and couldn’t be happier that our baby boy chose me and (my partner) as his parents!

So blessed waking today as a 32 year old MummA!! AmaZing

Although it didn’t quite end the way I wanted, I still have an amazing birthing experience and know that having that time doing the hypnobirthing got me there with a positive mind set and enable me to feel empowered! An incredible experience!!

Thank you for everything Janet- I couldn’t have done it without you!! I feel so calm and in control, something I am rarely!! 🙂 xx
