“J” and “S” – first baby in hospital – quick birth!

Feb 21, 2018

“Just wanted to let you know baby (name removed) was born at 5:55am yesterday morning, weighing 6lbs14. We went to delivery suite. Thanks to the hypnobirthing we were able to go with the flow of everything calmly and confidently & baby was born naturally within an hour & half of arriving at hospital!

The midwives were excellent in that they were very “hands off”, but very reassuring. I had asked for pain relief at one point, but they just said “you’re progressing really well, let’s see how you get on”, in the end I didn’t even have gas and air!

My husband also felt that the hypnobirthing had really helped him in staying calm and also in knowing how best to help me stay in that birthing state of mind without making a fuss. We’d like to thank you so much for all your help and support, it feels like the hypnobirthing course was key to how short my labour was. While intense it was also manageable and I felt calm and in control throughout.

Please feel free to share our words in whatever way, if everyone could have the same experience as me what an amazing start to an incredible journey everyone would have.

We both felt empowered. I had supreme confidence that I would mentally go to that important state of calm throughout. The ‘pain’ was manageable, I had physical and mental strategies to cope. I’ve used these strategies a lot when getting to grips with breastfeeding and have wished many times that you did a hypnofeeding course!

So again thank you so much for hypnobirthing!! It feels like an incredibly powerful tool that both my husband and I will continue to use in many different situations in life.”
