Another gorgeous Hypnobaby enters the world, he chose his own birthday, ?? at nearly 43 weeks gestation, he wasnt “late” he was bang on time !! Far too often there is a pressure to induce the labour, often for no medical reason, but this was another perfect example of a mother making informed decisions, trusting her instincts, allowing her mind and body to lead the way ? “We had a baby boy yesterday at 5.44pm. Labour started naturally early hours in the morning. We came to hospital to have him in the end. That was the best choice for us and we received excellent care. Midwives were very respectful of my birth preferences and stuck to my plan as much as possible.
He was born in the pool, natural delivery weighing 8lb 3oz. I’m so glad we persisted and let him choose his birthday. Active labour lasted about 3.5 hours.
The hypnobirthing played such a big part yesterday. Visualisations and music really helped. Mike was amazing too and filled me with positive thoughts ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I shall certainly be spreading my news locally in hope that I can help to instil confidence in “overdue” mums to make the best choice for themselves and their babies. Oh Janet I’m so happy right now !
He’s so chilled out. I was reading the article you posted earlier about the rest and be thankful stage. I’m pretty sure I reached this without knowing…I described it to Mike as euphoria right before I started pushing. Through the use of hypnobirthing I really feel that my oxytocin levels were at peak and I often felt the euphoric feelings between contractions. Oxytocin is the best!
