Toni and Mike took a full 12 hour Hypnobirthing course with their first baby and Toni gave birth with a vaginal breech birth❤️

They took a Hypnobirthing “Refresher” with me, for this baby and have recently had another positive Hypnobirth ❤️ Read the birth story here:

“🌟🌟🌟Positive Birthing Story 🌟🌟🌟

I went to be assessed at 41 +6 when they popped me on the monitor they said I was having tightenings and they also thought we were having some cord compression.

They decided to move me to labour ward and break my waters, hoping this would make the tightenings stronger. They monitored me for four hours and babies heartbeat appeared normal with just occasional dips. After a time as things weren’t progressing they decided to give me a sweep and leave me until the morning and then if no more progress to give me the oxytocin drip with my consent.

I used my hypnobirthing tools to keep me calm at all times, listening to scripts and positive affirmations. I used my breathing techniques to keep me in a nice calm place and we created a hospital play list which we played throughout the whole time. We diffused essential oils and kept the room dimly lit in order to keep a peaceful and calming atmosphere.

Once the drip was put up a little after 9am my surges began to come on thick and fast. I used a tens machine and had paracetamol and used my breathing techniques to get me through the intense surges.

I used the birthing ball, squatted and swayed my hips from side to side to ease baby further down into my pelvis, i remained standing for most of my surges and leaned on my very supportive husband when surges were intense.

For the final pushing I went onto my knees in an upright position holding on to the back of the bed again in order to help gravity bring my baby down the birthing canal. My final stages of labour were just 18 minutes.

It was intense but the most amazing feeling once she entered the world.
We had immediate skin to skin and had optimal cord clamping. My husband cut the cord and once I’d had a good 45 minutes skin to skin my husband then had skin to skin too.

It was intense but we had the most calm and wonderful birth, our midwife was incredibly supportive of our wishes and told us she was in awe of how calm and peaceful we made our birth, wishing other women would take a leaf out of our book.

I would highly highly recommend Lucy Flow yoga, Janet Naylor
hypnobirthing, the use of essential oils and a tens machine I read the Katherine Graves Hypnobirthing book which is fab and easy to follow.

Although I didn’t want to be induced, at 42 weeks with potential cord compression happening I followed my instincts and advice from doctors to be induced, they respected my wishes and tried all natural routes to bring on my labour before giving me the oxytocin drip. I had a first degree tear just of the skin and didn’t require stitches.

My total labour time was 5 hours 30 minutes”
