Hannah and Jason, first baby, born in water, in hospital

“It was all very much as we wished for. Pool birth, took around 32 hours from first surges. Came to hospital for a check at 4am and was 2cm so went home and then back in at 6:30am when surges got stronger.

Had a few examinations (3 in total) and waters broke in the last of these but not on purpose, when I was 9cm. Had gas and air from 6cm but stopped (no idea why really) for the last stage of pushing and made some very interesting noises which I didn’t expect but no swearing and very civil with (birth partner) who was a brilliant helper 🙂 xx”
