First baby born in hospital “E” and “ L”

Jan 2, 2019

“Baby girl born, bang on “due” date! Managed to avoid induction by hammering all the natural methods and delaying doctors.

She was back to back and an extremely difficult labour (27h, 9h of which I had painful back surges around every 3 mins), but we managed it with one dose of paracetamol, one of codeine and gas and air. She had apgar of 9 at 1min and 10 at 5mins and is extremely chilled.

Hypno techniques helped in so many ways. We’ll write it up for you soon. Thanks for all the encouragement Janet, you’ve really helped us get the best birth we could given the twists and turns on the way!

I am proud! So glad we researched our birth and stuck assertively to our preferences, def feel happy with how it all went!
